We’re happy to announce a series of volunteer cleanup events from this August in Oshawa. On Saturday, August 16th, 2025, from 10 AM to 12 PM there will be a cleanup at Stone Street Park, Oshawa. Before that other volunteer events will be held on Wednesday, August 6th, from 11 AM to 1 PM, at Lakeview Park and Thursday, August 7th, from 9 AM to 11 AM, at Renaissance Park. The events are organized by A Greener Future, the community of volunteers determined to create a clean and healthy environment.
Since 2014 volunteers from A Greener Future community have been working tirelessly to make our local environment cleaner, safer and more sustainable. Over 7 million pieces of litter have been picked up by community members since the organization’s founding.
All litter cleanup supplies like gloves, bags, and litter pickers will be available at the events.
