Purple Woods Maple Syrup Festival 2026

Purple Woods Maple Syrup Festival 2026

Spring is just around the corner, and this means it’s time to make some maple syrup. This is especially true when there is a dedicated family-friendly festival where you can learn about syrup manufacturing and try pancakes with 100% real maple syrup.

Purple Woods Maple Syrup Festival, held at Purple Woods Conservation Area just north of Oshawa, is an exciting annual event dedicated to the unique Canadian tradition of maple syrup production.

The festival will take place on weekends from March 14 to March 29, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and daily during March Break (March 16–20). Inside, you can find different activities related to maple syrup production, learn the history of production methods (from traditional to modern), taste delicious pancakes, and visit the special Heritage Store to get something to remember.

Closer to the end of March, the special Lantern Walk will take place, where visitors can explore the illuminated sugarbush.
