It’s finally time to start the holiday season! On Friday, November 14, 2025, Oshawa will transform into a miraculous place where wishes can come true. With the help of Santa and his elves, everyone will take part in the upcoming winter holidays.
The schedule for this year’s festivities is quite busy. First of all, the holiday will arrive on a Festival Town Trolley, where the whole family can ride around downtown Oshawa and take a look at the transformed city.
We also heard that Santa himself will visit Memorial Park and, with his elf helpers, will welcome visitors into his igloo. For written requests, there will be a North Pole mailbox (Santa asking everyone to put return addresses on letters).
The evening will continue with the Tree Lighting. Find a cozy spot and watch as it brightens the area and brings the festive spirit to every visitor.
This is not only an enjoyable evening but also a chance to do something good. Feed the Need in Durham (feedtheneedindurham.ca) is organizing a collection of non-perishable food donations. You can find the donation bins at City Hall, the Oshawa Public Libraries (McLaughlin Branch), and The Robert McLaughlin Gallery throughout the celebration.
