Not that long ago, we celebrated the Toronto International Film Festival, and it’s finally time for a more intimate and distinctly Canadian movie event. Meet Canadian Film Fest, a 100% Canadian-made event with over 20 years of experience in bringing the best independent Canadian movies to the public. The event will take place at Scotiabank Theatre from March 24 to 29, 2026.
The event is dedicated exclusively to Canadian films. Over the years, attendees have met and stayed in touch, and meeting new people remains one of the festival’s main benefits. For regular viewers, the festival is a visual art form at its peak.
The schedule of CFF usually consists of film screenings, Q&A sessions with actors and directors, and other events, like panels or “YouCan Pitch”, where new filmmakers pitch their projects to industry leaders.
