Spring has officially arrived, and we’re pleased to announce that Doors Open Oshawa is returning on Saturday, May 2, 2026, with an extensive program.
The event is organized by Doors Open Ontario and features community events held across the province. It will start in Stratford (April 18–19) and end in October with events in Brampton, Chatham-Kent, and Quinte West.
For Oshawa visitors, this is a unique chance to explore important historic buildings in the city and even visit places that are usually closed to the public. While the list of Oshawa’s sites hasn’t been finalized, last year it included many notable places, from Regent Theatre to heritage buildings.
At Doors Open, you can see familiar places in a new light. Many participants allow visitors to explore unique zones or offer free admission – for example, The Robert McLaughlin Gallery offered all tours for free as part of the 2025 event.
